At Spectra Electronics, innovation and sustainability are at the forefront. We focus on applied scientific research aimed at improving electric drives, battery management, solar collectors, and energy generation. But we do much more.


Because we believe it is important to pass on our experience and expertise to the new generation, we work closely with partner companies and educational institutions to apply scientific knowledge for a sustainable society. We actively contribute as a lecturer/senior researcher to relevant societal research on energy and transition issues.

In collaboration with NHL Stenden, Spectra Electronics continuously contributes to research on electric drives for vessels and develops new designs for this purpose.

As a senior researcher from Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen / University of Groningen, an active contribution was made to the research on the electricity grid in Europe. This research also helped lay the groundwork for the Green Deal.
